Not all doom and gloom: companies doing well

It seems like it’s not all doom and gloom out there. Despite what seemed like a record day for layoffs Monday (by one count, over 75,000 jobs lost) it seems like a number of local high tech companies are talking about great Q4 quarters. Central Desktop just told us about a great Q4, mobileStorm also said yesterday it had a “strong” fourth quarter, iRise said Q4 set a record, and Skweezer said the quarter bumped it into profitability. It’s interesting to see how many companies are coming out and talking about how well their Q4 is, in light of the widespread pessimism I hear from others on the economic environment.
